act twenty-one

Originally from Orange County, CA I now reside in a house in Santa Cruz with two of my very good friends and our half pitbull-half Australian shepherd dog Ziggy. My wonderful boyfriend Alan (who I refer to as Homer because I love his middle name), has been putting up with me since our senior year in high school.

I am a newbie cook, so you usually find me blogging and posting photos about food, and my enthusiasm for what I’ve created if it turns out right.

When I meet new people I am usually withdrawn and hard to get to know. However, once I do become comfortable with someone, I am much more outgoing and outspoken.

I travel to Texas twice a year to visit my parents.
I love philosophy, especially Buddhism.
Ever since coming to Santa Cruz, I’ve had more organic foods and am a bit more liberal.

I love my grandma. I believe she is happy, wherever she is.
I love Scorpios. Alan is a Scorpio. I love Alan.

My life so far has been a roller coaster of emotions, soap-opera material minus the bad acting.  However, I have no regrets, because some events that occurred have led me to where I am today.  There’s a purpose for everything.  It is at the young, ripe age of twenty-one where I believe I can truly start living my life and stop taking things for granted.
